Sailing our 38 foot sloop “Liberty” reminds us of the freedom we have in Christ. Since Jesus chose to travel and teach from a boat, it is good enough for us!
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. (Mathew 18:20) Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom! (2 Corinthians 3:17)
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:13-14)
We are free when we acknowledge we are completely dependent upon God for our very breath and our daily bread.
